Alcon Maddox is proud to represent one of the most exciting, high-growth FinTech start-up’s as they look to bolster their commercial operation.
We are currently looking for a candidate with a minimum of 10 years of business development/sales experience, preferably in a technology/software/HR services company, with at least 5 years of experience in a sales leadership position.
The successful candidate will -
- Be process driven in their approach to managing a sales team
- Be an excellent team leader and problem solver
- Boast a strong business development driven background and ambitious character
- Come with an existing network of relevant businesses in the assigned territory
- Communicate professionally, and have an ability to present and influence all levels of the organisation, including executive and C-level
- Come with a proven ability to drive the business development process from plan to execution
- Come with a proven ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services
- Come with a proven ability to position products against competitors
- Be ready to travel regularly within the UK and Europe
- Train, lead and build upon the existing business development team
- Review and optimise existing sales processes
- Lead by example as a problem solver, identifying challenges in the sales process, proposing solutions, and implementing changes where appropriate
- Develop and execute a strategic plan to acquire customers by using an existing network of contacts to companies in the assigned territory and actively add new leads for the BD team
- Own and achieve quarterly and annual revenue targets within the assigned territory
- Identify, contact, and meet with potential customers, effectively communicating value proposition through proposals and presentations, signing agreements in line with best company practices
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships
- Understand customers’ business needs and objectives, identify roadblocks that prevent potential customers from signing and implement strategies to overcome such roadblocks
- Ensure financial KPIs are achieved
- Understand, advise, and react to category-specific landscapes and trends, including possible regulatory issues
